Katechéza pre deti: Božia rodina spieva žalmy (17)

Božia rodina uctieva Boha. Boha uctievame mnohými spôsobmi. Skláňame sa pred Bohom, pretože nás stvoril. Spievame chvály Bohu, pretože je veľký.

Dávno pred Ježišovým narodením vládol Božiemu ľudu kráľ Dávid. Miloval Boha. Hral na harfe. Napísal mnoho chválospevov. Dávidove piesne sú nazývané žalmy.

V Biblii je jedna celá kniha nazývaná Žalmy. Je plná piesní, ktoré Bohu spieval Dávid a ďalší ľudia, ktorí milovali Boha.

Dávidove piesne sa spievajú dodnes. Na bohoslužbách spievame: „Chváľ, duša moja, Pána!“ Keď spievame, chválime Božie meno. „Nech je požehnané Pánovo meno!“ Spievame: „Chváľte Pána z nebies! Aleluja!“

Raz musel Dávid prosiť Boha o odpustenie, lebo hrozne zhrešil. Napísal:

„Zmiluj sa nado mnou, Bože, pre svoje milosrdenstvo… znič moju neprávosť. Úplne zmy zo mňa moju vinu a očisť ma od hriechu“ (50. žalm).

Celý kresťanský život je sprevádzaný postojom kajúcnosti. Preto sa v našich bohoslužbách teší veľkej obľube Žalm 50(51), ktorým sa prosí o odpustenie a dar Svätého Ducha.

A okrem toho o Božie milosrdenstvo prosíme aj vtedy, keď počas božskej liturgie spievame: „Pane, zmiluj sa.“

Ústredným bodom dnešného poučenia je Kniha žalmov – Žaltár (cirkevnoslovansky: Psaltir). Mnohé žalmy, ale nie všetky, sa pripisujú izraelskému kráľovi Dávidovi.

Kniha žalmov (tiež Žaltár či Psaltir) vznikla jedno tisícročie pred Kristovým narodením. Naša cirkev používa všetkých 150 žalmov na bohoslužbách hodiniek.

Na božskej liturgii sa vety zo žalmov používajú v mnohých hymnoch a najmä v antifónach (žalmy 91(92), 92(93) a 94(95)).

Treba poznamenať, že počnúc 9. žalmom má každý žalm dve čísla: prvé je podľa gréckeho prekladu Septuaginta (LXX), druhé podľa hebrejskej verzie.

Dávidov vzostup z pastiera na kráľa so všetkými farbistými a nezabudnuteľnými príbehmi o jeho činoch a útekoch pred smrťou sú zachytené v dvoch starozákonných Samuelových knihách. Dávid je synom Jesseho, potomka Júdu z dvanástich izraelských kmeňov. Z jeho pokolenia vzišiel Ježiš.
